Hi, I'm Meg Miller (she/her)— Founder of Dusk Therapy.

Therapeutic Approach

In both mental health counseling and sex therapy, I work to provide space for clients to explore and embrace who they are and want to be. A therapeutic relationship built on trust, empathy, and unconditional positive regard provides a safe space for exploring these challenges, developing insight, and creating avenues for peace. I work with clients to deconstruct the oppressive systems and beliefs that keep them disconnected from true safety and acceptance within themselves.

I practice with an approach that is secular in nature; however, I am happy to incorporate the spirituality of my clients as requested. If we work together, you'll find that I approach differences (in beliefs, ideas, identities, experiences, etc) with humble inquiry and connection. I will always work to understand you.

My therapeutic approach is a combination of existential therapy (in short, the exploration and making of meaning); narrative therapy; decolonization, intersectional, and feminist theories; and more.

Foundationally Human

I believe that my humanity and my identity are instrumental and foundational to the therapy work I do. It is what allows me to connect with clients, to laugh with them, and to establish genuine therapeutic relationships. I have been described as playful by clients, using a combination of connection, humor, and curiosity in session. I am a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community and this experience has informed my passion to make my office a safe space for all members of marginalized communities.

Outside of the therapy space, you can find me knitting, reading, spending time with my cats, or taking walks to look at historical homes and pointing out everything I like about them.

Practice & Training

I graduated with a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and have been in private practice since 2023.

I have received 150 hours of Sex Therapy training from Modern Sex Therapy Institutes and 50 Sex Therapy supervision hours with Dra. Estefanía Simich Muñoz. I have over 500 clinical hours of experiencing providing sex therapy for my clients.

Want to get started? We're ready when you are.
