MORE INFORMATION
Sex therapy is a form of talk therapy centered on the psychological, emotional, and interpersonal aspects of a client's sexual health. I provide sex therapy for clients looking to explore their sexuality, sexual experiences, difficulties with sexual functioning, and more.
My practice of sex therapy is secular and completely non-judgmental. Every client deserves a non-judgmental and accepting therapist; your identity as LGBTQ+, kinky, non-monogamous, transgender, disabled, or neurodivergent will be respected and dignified here. As Emily Nagoski says, “Come as you are”!
Sex therapy does not include any verbal or physical sexual relationship between therapist and client. My practice of sex therapy aligns with section A.5.a. in the ACA Code of Ethics, in which sexual relationships between therapist and client are deemed unethical and strictly prohibited.
Sex therapy may be right for you if you're experiencing...
Sexual Shame and Trauma
Sex and sexuality are deeply interwoven with our self esteem and the narratives we hold about ourselves. It influences how we feel about our bodies, our souls, our worth, etc. Processing your sexual shame and trauma in a safe, non-judgmental environment leads to new levels of healing and self love. Remember- I see you and I believe you.
Low Arousal and Desire
Experiencing a decrease in sexual arousal or interest in sex can be incredibly frustrating; after all, sexuality is an important aspect of self for many individuals! We can work to understand shifting desires levels and explore options to increase desire/arousal without shame based perspectives. Let's focus on learning and working with your sexuality, rather than forcing change on it.
Difficulty with Sexual Functioning- Orgasm, Erection, and Other
Our bodies don't always function as we want or expect them too. This can create a negative feedback loop of stress and disappointment which makes sexual functioning even harder. It is an honor to help clients find satisfaction and confidence in their sexual functioning.
Sexual Pain and Frustration
The very thing that makes sex pleasurable- our nervous system- can also lead to sexual pain such as vulva pain, penile pain, and pain during penetration. Sexual pain can make you feel truly hopeless and alone. Sex therapy can provide the support, validation, and resources needed to cope with and resolve sexual pain.
Gender, Sexuality, and Identity Exploration
Identity incorporates many facets of sexuality, gender, and relationship preferences. Using deconstruction and an existential approach, let's delve into your true expression of sexuality, gender, non-monogamy, kink, fetish, and fantasy. Welcome to a truly judgment-free zone.
Couples Sex Therapy
Navigating and communicating through sexual difficulties can be extraordinarily hard within a relationship. I am here to help you build a strong and satisfying sexual relationship by reestablishing foundations of trust and respect, learning communication skills, and increasing intimacy. Open and affirming to all types of couples.
Whether these describe what you're experiencing or not, I'd love to work with you! Email me now at meg@dusktherapy.com

Appointments for individual therapy can be scheduled via email, text, or during a consultation call. Many individuals schedule recurring sessions on a weekly, biweekly, or monthly schedule.
Consultation calls are required for all couples before scheduling; many couples schedule sessions on a biweekly or monthly basis. Sessions can be scheduled during the consultation call or via email afterwards.
For first time clients looking to schedule a session or a consultation call, send an email to meg@dusktherapy.com.
Clients may cancel or reschedule sessions for free if doing so at least 48 hours in advance. Clients will be responsible for a full session fee if cancelling within the 48 hour window; charge of the cancellation fee is at the discretion of the therapist.
Sessions are billed based on the structure, time, and need:
Individual- $170/55 minute session
Couples- $190/55 minute session
Sliding Scale- May vary
Pricing for Economic Justice (for BIPOC clients only)- $75/55 minute session
Dusk Therapy is passionate about making sex therapy more accessible by offering sliding scale and Pricing for Economic Justice fees for clients. With recognition that systemic oppression has impacted the financial possibilities for all communities of color, Dusk has intentionally reserved several low cost spots specifically for BIPOC individuals who need reduced fees in order to access therapy. We are able to offer these two lower cost options in limited capacity; do not hesitate to reach out and ask about availability!
Please note we do not participate with insurance panels, one reason being that many insurances consider sex therapy and couples therapy as unnecessary treatments. Unless otherwise negotiated, it is your responsibility to find out your insurance company’s policies and to file for insurance reimbursement if you choose. We are happy to provide you with a Superbill to file with your insurance company upon request.
Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act (the “No Surprises Act”), health care providers need to give clients who do not have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency health care services, including psychotherapy. You can ask for a Good Faith Estimate before a scheduled service, or at any time during treatment. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. www.cms.gov/nosuprises.
Dusk Therapy provides mental health counseling for individuals ages 16+ and couples. People of any race, ethnicity, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, and disability status will find a safe and respectful space here. If you need accommodation for a disability, please reach out and we will work to provide care to the best of our ability.
While all individuals are welcome in the office, firearms, hate speech and hostility directed at the therapist are not. Therapy must be safe for both client and therapist for healing work to take place.

We commit to doing anti-racism work forever, to humble enquiry inside and outside of session, and advocacy within the mental health field for culturally informed, intersectional mental health care for BIPOC individuals.
